What do I Need?

If you would like to put something out into that vast growing universe of the World Wide Web, what you need is:

• An idea of what you aim to accomplish with your webpage or blog
• An idea of what you want your page or blog to look like
• A method of how you plan to create your webpage if you don't want to use your blog as your webpage. We are able to provide you with a web designer however, we do not determine the price of that service. Otherwise there are many programs out there for do-it-yourselfers such as: Dream Weaver or Microsoft Office. There are also many free programs out there too. Here is a list of some free programs
• An idea of what domain name you prefer. (ex: www.yourdomain.com)
• Credit card or other billing information

And that's about it. Whether you want a Wiki, a blog (web log), or a website, all will start with a domain name. Basically its just like it sounds - its a name. Its how everyone will find you and your web "stuff". The hardest part of that is simply coming up with a name nobody else is using. To find out if the name you want is available, visit networksolutions.com, input the name you want and it will tell you if its available. Once you find an available name, we can register it for you and its all yours - you own it. You can keep it, sell it, or let the registration expire when you no longer want it.
